The Jamaican Police has finally confirmed that Woolmer was murdered in Jamaica. The confirmation of Woolmer’s murder has shocked the whole sports world.

Here one thing I want to mention that Indian media should go slow and report the authentic story in the murder case as the case has become very much sensitive. The Jamaican Police has made it confirm that the people near to Woolmer has killed him.

Some reports from Indian news channels are saying that a non-Jamaican national was being held and that police had confiscated his telephone on which he had called to some cricketers.

But, the Jamaican police officer leading the case insisted that there have been no arrests in the investigation into the murder of Bob Woolmer.

Jamaican deputy commissioner Mark Shields strongly refuted this report coming in Indian media about the arresting.

He said on BBC Radio Five Live:

I don’t know where that’s come from. That’s nonsense, as far as I’m concerned. There’s actually no truth in that.

I can unequivocally dismiss that, unless someone’s given themselves up in India and we don’t know about it, but I think that’s highly unlikely.

In a race to present every news as breaking news, Indian news channels are reporting the false stories also. This should be stopped as soon as possible.

Whatever happened during cricket world cup 2007 has smirched this wonderful game. Who is responsible behind this ignominious act is still oracular but one thing is quite clear that slowly but steadily the tincture of ethic, which this game was imbued with, is fading away, which is bound to garrote this game one day.

The news is both shocking and amazing at the same time. The implications are far reaching and worrying. How could someone take the life of another human being over a game.

I am also a cricket fanatic, but the thought of killing a person over it is beyond belief.

More questions than answers have followed BOB’s death and many are trying to process this.

Not a bad point Pratyush, Indian news channels are reporting the false stories in a race to present every news as breaking news.

And now after the defeat of Indian Ho-Ha Team or Samsung Team or whatever, the only new people watching this tournament, or the news of it, are the sort of people so intrigued by mysterious deaths. The kind of people inclined to read serial killer biographies.

For me the world cup is over and so is the news.

dis wz foregone conclusion dat Woolmer wz murdered�..(as i hav said previously) that has brought really a lot of ignominy to the pious cricket arena��.besides this the occurrence has very ostensibly bring forth the great felony behind the defeat or victory of teams competing at the pitch

In the first place Jamaican police should not have announced Woolmer’s death as murder, without any solid evidences from the autopsy.

The verdict on Woolmer’s murder as death has covered results from the autopsy. Though CBI is looking into the matter, yet DNA tests of Pakistani players and medical investigations remain to give a full and final verdict.

Until then it is not on the logical side to keep on accusing somebody or he other for Woolmer’s death.
